Music
is my way of anger management teamed with a need to vent
some creativity. I started experimenting with vocals when
I was 14. Nothing cool, just recording rhymes and things
onto a tape deck. Then when I was 16 I joined my first band
(Stoic Breed) and started doing what I've grown to love.
My musical tastes have always been quite scattered and I've
let this influence what I've brought to the bands I've been
in. I will listen to anything I really don't mind. If I
like it, I like it. It's weird because the older I get the
more I get into my old school metal and rock, but I still
love that touch of eccentricity in the music I indulge myself
with. But when it comes down to it, there's nothing better
than a rocking riff, a gut wrenching scream and a good mosh!

I’ve
been playing guitar since 13 when I saw a gun’s n roses vid
and wanted to do what Slash was doing. I quickly got into
the heavier stuff (Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera) with Dano
and we would jam together a lot as kids. I also took some
lessons from a local teacher who introduced me to Van Halen,
Vai and other guys I’d never heard of till then. I’ve been
in a few bands playing different styles (met Charlie in the
previous one) but always ended up wanting to play the Metal
I grew up on. So I started to look for like minded guys to
start a metal band with.

Ever
since I can remember I have been interested in music. So
the first chance I got I started to play guitar, in the
guitar club at school. You know the sort of thing "Yellow
Submarine", "Let It Be" - it was a start! Eventually I managed
to get hold of an electric guitar and started a band. Which
is where I discovered the bass guitar. When the bass player
left I got the chance to take over, I sold all my guitars
and bought a bass rig. I’ve never looked back! I try to
listen to as much music as possible and some of my influences
are: Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Metallica, Rage Against
The Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pink Floyd, Faith No
More, Pantera, Alice In Chains, Dream Theater. Basically
anything that provokes a response or has some imagination.
So that's me.

I
first picked up the guitar when I was 11, when I started
to discover the hair metal bands of the late 80's/early
90's. The guitar teachers at school only taught classical
guitar, so I ended up teaching myself proper guitar by playing
along to records and learning from my mistakes. Over the
years my music tastes have changed through discovering new
bands, but I love anything with a good, loud riff. I started
playing in bands not long after this, and from then on playing
live has been my passion. I've played in many different
styles of bands over the years, but nothing can beat the
feeling of cranking that amp and bruising some ear drums!
